I built this guitar for Simon Nichol in 1988 with a real Kellogg's Corn Flakes box laminated onto a hand-carved Hard Ash body. Martin wants me to build him a "Product 19" axe. Give me a ring when you're ready for it, Maart!
Above is Fairport Convention (one of my favorite bands) with the Cornflake Axe at the Blackthorne Tavern in So. Easton, Massachusetts. He was so overwhelmed he bought me a pint! Now that he doesn’t play much electric guitar, he gave it to his son who plays it all over the UK and reports that it still gets the looks and comments.
Band members are Simon Nicol, Dave Pegg (sometime bassist for Jethro Tull) and Martin Alcock playing the Cornflakes.
